My first exposure to storytelling was through my school’s theatre production in 6th grade. Since, then my obsession with stories of the past, present, and future has driven all my work including work that expands into writing (poetry, fiction, and non-fiction essays), visual storytelling, mix-media art, playscape design, animation and more!
Of recent I’ve deeply been interested in exploring the concept of inner conflict specifically surrounding the questions of What is desire? And why do we crave certain experiences over others. Throughout the past few years – I’ve used art to cope with numerous health challenges including being diagnosed with a disability and the yearning to be “normal”. Through my art and interactive design experiences I strive to create a safe space where queer and disabled individuals as well as people of colour feel welcome and seen. In Addition, I have been working on a project called Kalpana to empower student communities in rural India through design thinking.
The key motivation of this project arose from the immense gratitude and sense of empowerment I felt through my own exposure to design thinking
